Champions League with a 6-4 aggregate score last night (Wednesday 13 April 2022) the hosts goals from Ibrahima Konate and two goals from Roberto Firmino to set them up. Lead 3-1 25 minutes before the end of the match. But the top teams from Dan Foi Thong were able to equalize with Roman Yaremchuk and Darwin Nunez.

And with the Reds facing Manchester City again this weekend after meeting on Sunday, April 10,   Klopp made seven changes from the team that drew 2-2 at the Etihad last day . Sunday by Joel Matip is the only one from the back four that the German coach has not changed. And despite being delighted that his team reached the semi-finals, Klopp was surprised by Benfica ‘s comeback and admits several changes have affected his squad.

“Yes, it’s great, great. (who reached the semi-finals),” he told reporters. “I have never viewed anything like this as dead. I’m very happy. And all of these things, but when I’m not happy about getting to the Champions League semi-finals then there’s something really wrong. And it might be the right time to quit. (as a UFABET team manager)”

“(Benfica) was absolutely brilliant, very strong, very good, but it was about us in this moment as well, it was very difficult, I made seven changes. And the defense has never played together like this before. “I decided yesterday we had 15-20 minutes to try and get it right. Most of them they did very well and I liked it, I really liked it. The only problem was when we lost the ball. Our defense was not perfect, we lacked the youngsters in the last defence.”

“When you defend in the Champions League quarter-finals It’s all about the details. I haven’t looked back on the offside yet. But it is part of the defense to keep the opponent offside. It didn’t work out very well tonight. But that’s my fault because I made seven changes. “ The next problem we had was when we were 3-1 up 6-2 on aggregate. Some of the boys haven’t played 90 minutes in a while.”

“We are human We were like this, we thought, ‘Okay, the job is over!’ and Benfica is still doing great and I respect that a lot. They score really well. But it shouldn’t be that easy to play with us. It shouldn’t be as easy as tonight.” “Benfica deserved that three goals. that’s what it is Of course we should have scored more goals. It’s clear But I’m really happy with it. I know about the challenges in football that you are constantly facing. And tonight it was like that after we were leading 3-1.” “Everyone including me thinks so and Benfica thinks give it a try. And I respect that very much.”
